genfstab - Generate a new fstab, suitable for use as /etc/fstab

genfstab [OPTIONS] [SYSROOT]

Generate a new fstab, suitable for use as /etc/fstab, from the currently mounted partitions. Optionally, SYSROOT can specify a directory to use as the relative root for the new fstab. If SYSROOT is not specified, a default of / will be used. SYSROOT can also be specified as an environment variable.

Options:

-d
Use device node paths when generating fstab. Negates the effects of -u.
-h
Print a help message.
-p
Operate in permissive mode. Negates the effects of -s.
-s
Operate in secure mode. Additional security hardening options will be enabled, such as disallowing SUID root executables on some partitions. This is the default.
-u
Use UUIDs instead of device node paths when generating fstab. This is the default.
